It
is also believed that the building did not become an inn until
after the last World War in 1945. The former stables, barn and
dairy were converted in 1982 to our six letting bedrooms, all en-suite.
The current owners since May 2005, Jo and James Cartwright who
live at nearby Silk Willoughby, pride themselves at the quality
of food served.
They have deliberately sought to purchase from
local suppliers wherever possible. For example, the meat comes
from G Skinners and Sons from Barrowby, fruit and vegetables from
F E Camm of Osbournby, Duck from Cherry Valley at Market Rasen,
Coffee from Stokes of Lincoln, Ice Cream from the award winning
Dennetts of Spilsby and Lincolnshire Poacher cheese from F W Read
of Alford.
They are proud members of the “Tastes of Lincolnshire” scheme
that aims to promote Lincolnshire produce throughout Britain and
further afield.
The Tally Ho Inn is the only pub/restaurant in the county of Lincolnshire
to be listed in The Egon Ronay Guide 2006 that particularly commends
our policy of sourcing produce locally. In the past The Tally Ho
has also won the County Life F C Phipps Best Pub Food Award and
also The Lincolnshire Life Tastes of Excellence County
Cuisine Award for Best Pub Food
Please note that most of our food is freshly prepared from the
finest ingredients and cooked to order. We do not serve “fast
food”, only good food! We hope you will therefore relax,
enjoy a drink and look forward to your meal.
Feedback is very important to us at The Tally Ho! While we are
always delighted to learn that people have enjoyed their meal,
we also ask that if there is anything that you are not happy with
that you bring it to our attention as soon as possible to give
us the opportunity to put it right!
Thank you.
